The WW II casualty section of a cemetery near me.
Tone mapped 3 copies of original capture at EV -2, EV 0, and EV +2 and merged. Cropped to 1.5:1, Curves. Brightness -10, Dodge dark spots on plaques, Neat Image, Lighten and blur in dark areas of stones and plaques, Reduce color noise, Add more black to greens yellows in grass, Heal small spots, Vignette to black, Resize to 640 X
F 5.66, ISO 400 at 1/80 second on a very dreary day. It took some work to brighten it up and get rid of noise.

| A very good choice for the challenge and while I think the vignetting is appropriate, I do think it's just a bit too strong, covering too much of the picture. Very good post processing!! Appreciate you including that in your comments, too. |

| I'm really surprised at the score on this one. I thought it was quite well executed and the colors on the headstones really pop. The vignetting may be just a bit too strong, perhaps that hurt you scorewise, but still think you got robbed! |

| There's lots of competition in RIP acronym category. This is one of the better but I think I'd have rated higher without the dark edging. It looks like there was lots of opportunity for perspective or DOF here. |

| I think the vignette is a bit heavy-handed. It certainly adds to the image, but maybe a little too much. |

| Certainly a well composed image that is thought provoking. Acronym chosen is a pretty simple one - but I have to say one of the better connections with a nice photo combo. Good luck. |

Rest In Peace
I think that these headstones are great and the darkened edges has not helped the image. The row upon row of almost identical stones lends itself to some great compoitions |
