 Today I begin a series featuring landmarks found on US paper money.

The $50 bill has the US Capitol on it.

I tried to find parking but failed, so this was shot out of the passenger window when I pulled over for a few seconds.

Your processing of this image is amazing! Back in high school I knew a girl who just got a $50 bill for her birthday or something, and said I could have it if I could guess who was on it. I did, and then correctly guessed the building on the back, but never did get my prize.

I don't see many photos of the Capitol in winter. I like the white on white and your sky is just fantastic, almost surreal.

Oh what a great idea. I can't wait to see what you come up. There are just ENDLESS photo opportunities where you live, aren't there! I love the way you are so good at providing scale to your photos by the inclusion of people or something that lets you see how massive of a scene we are looking at. This is awesome!

I'm finding my challenge entries have taken a back seat too. But this is so fun because you know all our nice fellow participants aren't going to trash our photos with a snotty comment and a 2, right? :)

I like the idea alot. I like that you have a 50 dollar bill. :-) Color and clarity are all good here and great clouds. Excellent shot for out of the passenger window, too! You may want to tone down the bill - or maybe fade it a bit so it's just a bit transluscent and blends in with the scene a bit more.

I love the bank of clouds creating the horizontal line. The person in red adds a nice POP of color.
