I love this! It has such a nice contrast between the gritty industrial look, and the nostalgic with the pretty blue tones in the background.

Nice view of an antique tool. I think you are right about the gourd containing water, as you can see how the rag would let it drool on the stone, and you can see the trails where the water ran down the frame on the left side. I wonder if this is where the infamous hatchet that did the cherry tree in was sharpened? |

good question. Based on where it was, in the blacksmith shop, I believe it is for sharpening tools. The gourd probably contained water to keep the stone wet. |
