The mother and the calf were eating spinach (what is left of it under the snow) from my garden at 8 in the morning. I took my camera and decided to risk my life for a picture. Mothers can be wild if they think you are going to harm the baby. I turned the camera on before entering the garden, just to save time. NO BATTERY! You can imagine how frustrating that was. So... back in the house, hoping they will stay until I give some life to the battery. No luck! I live next to a school and all the kids were out shouting and screeming: "Look at the moose! A moose! Two! There are two!" The noise drove them away. But I had to have a picture. So, in ten minutes I got dressed and start following the traces in the snow. It was worthed. I found them in less than 15 minutes in a park. Safely I took about 350 pictures of them.

Beautiful scene. Would make for a great holiday greetings card. Incredible capture. This photo shows it is definitely worth it to chase a subject.

This picture didn't really give me a great sense of "propaganda" but because of the quality of the picture I gave you an "8"

LOL. Great picture. Funny too with the bird on the "bigger" of the two.

Very cute. I would like to see a tighter crop onto just the elk/moose(?) so that the bird is more readily visible. It took too long to figure out how the title fit with the photo. Wonderful clarity and nice job fitting to the challenge.

Unique capture. In Texas we'd never see this. Not sure I feel this fits propaganda as much as it does a unique capture in your front yard. 5 -danny

What a neat picture, how did you get so close (or are they in a zoo?) But I don't really see how this is propaganda....

A very funny capture; wish you had a good shot of just a single animal with the bird on the back. (And one facing sideways or you.)
