i do really like this shot, but it looks to me that compared to the ice, the rose it slightly blurry. other than that, the composition and image as a whole is really nice.

The focus on the ice is great. However, to me, it looks like you've sharpened the whole photo and it made the Rose look a little funny. I think running this image through 'NEAT' (if you have it or something similar) might have cleared that up - I'm not sure. I always like 'frames' around photos - I think that have made it better. All in all, I like your photo and dispite the fact that I think it could be better, I'm still going with an 8.

the flower is just too much out of focus to be part of the "subject" :( nice idea tho :)

WOW very nice and clear , the contrast between the HOT LOVE and COLD ICE is making this photo one of the best photos here , 10 for me.
