Wow, you really captured the concept of "IT'S FRIGGIN' COLD!" The snow, the isolation of the tent, the blown-out sky ... they all work together to deliver that message. |

I love the processing on this one. It has a really nice mood to the photo. Technically it is well done. The composition is a little one dimensional though, what I mean is everything is more or less on the same plane. Maybe getting close to those reeds on the right and using a wider angle to keep the same perspective? Dunno, I really like the photo though (especially that barn). Should have scored much higher at any rate. I don't know how people can vote 2's in a Free Study, it's not like a DNMC... |

It's funny, Bob, but often when I see your photos I think of them as being part of a diptych and/or triptych. This one feels like it belongs with the solitary tree photo. I think the pair would complement each other beautifully. I really like the stark processing. You are definitely one of my favorite photogs on this site. |

WAY underrated in my opinion. Looks like an old WWII photograph of a stark, desolate camp somewhere. I don't know if that's what you were going for, but that's what I saw in it. I quite like it. |

it looks like the white balance is off and there is too much contrast. |
