Like most places the north east US is having a late winter thaw so frozen ponds and streams were thinning out. Shot in RAW + Large JPEG.
Process:
RAW (adjust levels, sharpness), converted to 16 bit TIFF, to 8 bit in PS, adjust levels (auto), gradient map, brightness/contrast, flatten, USM (20,50, 0), reduce size (90ppi, 640), USM (200, 0.5, 0), save for web |

| I love the graphic feel of this picture. Branch pattern is great, Looks a bit oversharpened but maybe it's because of B&W and strong contrast. No matter what I like it a lot. |

| love the high contrast look to this one. despite the large branch density, there are three elements that balance it out, the tree leaning on the left, the tree in the water, and the leaning tree on the right. makes the busy scene work for me. |
