| Read your request for comments on the thread; this wasn't an image I liked, but this is primarily because of the subject matter. It just didn't interest me, and while it was lit well for and appropriate to the challenge, it didn't do anything to overcome my initial reaction to the subject matter. On that, there is probably little you can do about this kind of reaction; pick a shot you like, and some other people won't. Not a statement about the image quality, but about its appeal subjectively. If you want my vote, shoot puppy dogs and babies |

The image low key but the contrast is flat I would suggest bringing up the midtones and highlights but keep the shadows very dark. I would have scored this a 5 due to the contrast issue.
I also entered a mannequin image it did OK but I was hoping for a finish above 6. I have a feeling that real people score better than masks and Mannequins. |
