Probably won't score too well, knowing how artistic work is accepted on this site. I like this picture alot, it may not fit the challenge firmly, but is associated with it none the less.

As usual, the truth-speakers are silenced ....

I'm interpreting this as the speaker of the truth doesn't have access to the microphone (it's too far away). If that's the case, then WOW. Strong message. Using DOF really helps bring out the meaning. Very well done.

Well done. Great lighting and I really like the way te microphone is really clear and the speaker out of focus. One of the few pictures in this chalenge, that actually meets the criteria of the chalenge

Hmm, the microphone is OFF! LOL, still a good shot and you've conveyed the message well.

Interesting image though I'm not quite sure what it's saying. Who speaks the truth, on what subject?
I do like the image itself and the choices of B/W and limited DOF work well for me.
I'd like to see the vertical line of the mike more accurately vertical within the frame.

Excellent. Great shot of the mic and the person in the background has just the right amount of blur. Love it.

To many people could not hear you because the mic was off but I like the way you focused on the mic and let us think about how we are heard. Nice job!

Might have been more convincing if the mike had been switched to "on"... or is that the point? :) I still like this a lot - 7

I like this one, DOF makes it effective. I have noticed that the microphone is OFF, maybe it's a coincidence, maybe not, but it makes me feel some deeper meaning in this subject. :-) Welll done!

Great composition! Was the microphone in the "off" position intentional?

Why is he so far from the mic? Should we get a feeling that he's preaching his truth? 6 -danny
