 Shot this on a morning before the city came to life and all the commuters were getting to work. These rowers just happened to come into frame at the right time.

EDIT: Grayscale, Duotone, USM, levels, dodge and burn, resize, another couple of minor adjustments...nothing major.

THOUGHTS: There is just over an hour to go in this challenge and there are nearly 600 images...do I stand a chance? Maybe a 6.0000???

Nice capture - Lovely tones and the rowers add some great foreground interest. I cropped this image on my screen just before the boat on the right and brought the crop in from the top as well - Adds a lot more impact to the image - One minor note as well in the slightly sloping horizon (Building on the left gives it away)

Oh to be on a river on a Monday morning. I love the traces of the oars coming out of the water. Nice!

I love the photograph, but I think it would benefit from straightening. The buildings leaning away from the water is a little awkward. They're hitting a beautiful stroke in the quad!

A decent image, but I struggle to find more in it than a simple depiction. The rowers add some interest to the lower part of frame visually, but that high-tech kind of racing boat doesn't make for any technological or environmental contrast with the cityscape, leaving the image perhaps too much of an ordinary moment for me.
