An originally all red photo which I converted to green in post-processing. This entry is a companion entry to my photo into the Green II challenge last summer titled "Color Blind". That entry got DQ'd for no EXIF data, as I was using an old SONY Mavica with no exif storage data on a dinosaur of a digital camera.

Practically speaking, I still wonder how the 5-10% of DPC folks who are color-blind manage with this photographic limitation (not to mention reading stop lights!). For more information on color blindness, check out the following link:

Post Challenge: Thanks for all who took time to vote and comment. Delighted to place last since I was "shooting for the brown", I mostly entered this challenge to playfully highlight a condition which most of us take for granted, the way our eyes and brains process colors.

you're lucky I didn't vote. I would've given this a 10.

Perfect! I didn't vote in this challenge, but I would certainly have given it the 1 it deserved.

I'm dissapointed on how ideas vs. mot-a-mot challenge interpretations are punished on DPC. At least a quarter of the pics in the Red challenge are quite uninspired (to put it midly) and badly executed. Yet, they get a better score than this one! David, you should've put a tomato on the table an take a snapshot at it, you would've been in the top 50%!

There is a certain lack of redness to this, which I shall assume is intentional for the benefit of the red-green colorblind amongst us, judging by your title. Still, going beyond the color, I find a lack of detail here which does not engage me as a viewer. The lighting is also rather flat.

Since this is obviously someone fishing for a brown I'm torn. Do I give you what you want? (1) Or do I thwart you by giving you a (10)? Decisions, decisions.
