I will probably get beat up in the scores for being similar to the last Red Challenge blue ribbon entry ... but this is the only collection of red stuff I could find around my house that was somewhat related to each other.

I think this same shot with a different colored background would have brought out the textures much better.

This looks cluttered, as the lines made by the sewing needles, the spiral thing, and the pen, all lead away from the image. It also looks a little flat. Given those materials, I might have made a nest with the ribbon and that other ribbon-looking thing in the upper left, placed the smaller items inside, and took a shot "peeking in". |

I think your entry suffered some of the same issues as mine. Not quite sharp enough and the red background took away, rather than added. We'll know better next time!! LOL |

This is a nice idea but I think that the lack of sharpness hurts a little. You met the challenge well but it just needs to be fine tuned a little. |

Interesting still life. Everything certainly has a red tilt. |

I like your concept here. The tape or ribbon??, seems to get washed out and looks over saturated for some reason.. It may be my monitor.. overall a 6 for me. Nice Job !! |

I think the red background is overdone. Black would make all the red objects stand out. They tend to disappear against the red. |
