Taken inside an old slave quarters in South Carolina, one of the worst parts of our history. Converted to b&w, USM, a lot of dodging and burning. Figure I will get dinged for the big blown highlight on the bed, but hope I captured something at least a little bit evocative.

Didn't get a chance to comment on this early. Gave you a 7 during voter. Simply a wonderful still life, captured moment type of picture. Great mood and wonderful light (bear rear looks a little "hot" though). Congrats on the score of a stunning image.

This was one of my favorites. I gave it a 9. That toy in the cradle doesn't look quite like it belongs, but I figured this was some sort of museum room, so you couldn't do anything about that. But I think it hurts the composition. Nice lighting, and I don't mind the highlight on the bed.

Very nice shot Catherine and very deserving score. You've really captured the OLD feeling. I agree with skewsme that the pitcher really adds to it. Excellent.

Very nicely done - the B&W works very well for this image, and I agree with skewsme - the pitcher really adds to it. Another one in your "top five", too!

Nice composition that could use a bit more contrast to highlight the main subject.

Love this. The rustic feel is beautiful. Did you try sepia toning it? Anyway, this is very nicely done.

Great location but too much PP - The dodging of the bear is so noticeable. And if it's not dodging then it needs to be burnt in.
