The flash you used is what really hurts this shot. The closest end of the table is in very harsh light edged by a hard shadow, and the furthest end is too dark. A longer exposure using natural light may have worked much better. |

The tones in the wood are very nice - but the lighting (I assume an on camera flash) really creative an uneven feel. The harsh lighting seems more of a snapshot. |

your light is too harsh at the bottom of the photo. Towards the top middle, you have a blending problem. At first I thought it was your shadow..but then i realized that it was the carpet blending in with the wood. |
