thankyou very much everybody for your comments :o)
this shot was taken from a public viewing point, on the fence at turn one of the phillip island circuit in australia.
i appreciate the shadows are a little dark, but the idea was to accentuate the red in the shot.
i took this hand held (i dont own a monopod... or a tripod for that matter!), and i used a standard 55 - 200mm G lens.
thanks for all your comments during the challenge, i would have been happy with top twenty, but this exceeded my expectations. i rated a little over thirty other images higher than what my average was, so i am absolutely stoked!
cheers! ads :o) |

Proves you don't need a 10fps camera with 600 f/4 lens, but good skills. :) |

Great color and clarity, composition is very good as well. Red & blue usually make a great combo, but for this photo I really wish the blue wasn't there. I know, kind of a petty nitpick...it doesn't kill what is a really good photo, but just kind of jumps out at me. |

That's a great shot and you froze the action really well. IMO, it is a bit underexposed (whites are not as bright as they should be). A little adjustment with Levels in PS would help show off the sharpness of your image. |

AWESOME!! Not much more I can say about this. The colors are fantastic and the isolation of the subject is top notch! Bumping to a 10. :) |

Nitro Nori Rocks!
Cool shot, perhaps a bit dark in the shadows, but overal I like it a lot. Good quality. The races were very cool, bummer that the Yamaha's smoked their tires in the first race. I wonder what lens was used here and if this was shot from a public accesible place or from a PJ spot.
In April it's my turn again, at the end of April they will be at Assen. :) |

Great action shot way to stop the motion without losing its sense of speed.-10- |
