Very gorgeous! Love the blue sky and the details on the clouds! I need a filter! The composition with the fence is great! |

ah! I see you have discovered the polarizing filter, Roz! Used perfectly in this shot. :) |

Wow, the whites really pop! That polarizing filter definitely appears to be a worthy investment. The lines and composition are great here. Very well done indeed for straight from camera! |

very nice image indeed. nice composition, with the leading line of hte fence. the only niggle is the horizon. sometimes a tilted horizon works, sometimes it doesn't. and, in fact, it's not the horizonitself that shows it up, but the clouds. |

Roz, I thought your no-processing shots were going to suck? That was you what said that on the original thread, wasn't it? This shot does not suck!
It's a great shot, and a very strong image to start with. I have a polarizing filter, but I always forget to bring it along! How do you adjust which way to turn it? I don't seem to be able to see a lot of differences in my view finder when I spin mine . . .
Here's what I might try with this shot if it was mine: levels and curves to up the contrast and try to get a bit more detail in the clouds on the right. I would probably also try upping the saturation (maybe with hue, depending on results) to bring up the color of the grass a bit (make it a bit brighter and greener). I would poke around with the channel selector, but I think here it's not needed.
I might also try cloning out the stick on the right, and I might go so far as to try to get rid of the two standing pieces of wood inside the fence (one of which crosses the house), but it's so busy behind them, and I suck so bad at cloning that I would probably give up!
Great shot, I'm looking forward to seeing the processing!

Nice Roz! Looks like the fence is chasing the clouds. I see that the recent rain has been kind to the grass, it looks good too. |

The sky really has a great amount of detail for being right out of the camera. Great intense colors! |

roz - that's gorgeous!! I love the crips colors and the perspective - total winner (so to speak). You were asking me about my palm picture - I didn't use a polarizing filter on that photo. The sky is actually that crazy blue here. I did saturate a bit to add some color to those dried up palms, though. |

I need to get a polarizing filter. Great colors and lines. This should be fun to edit up. Looking forward to seeing its next steps. |

Yes, it is a shame about the poles, but remember - next week you can edit them out! I really like the lines in this photo. The cloud line and the horizon are both echoed in the fence. Nicely seen and photographed. |

Great exposure, you've really got a lot to work with here. In the edit it'd be great to see the colours pushed and a little bit of sharpening. Excellent first shot. |
