Greetings from The Critique Club,
A wonderful, fun and imaginative family shot. I think this is beautifully done! The expressions are perfect, the toning is perfect. Your composition is excellent. Very good choice of angle and point of view too. The expressions of the kids make this photo well fit for this challenge. I like the way you caught the flight of the pigeons. It is a happy moment and the whole photo shows it. Pitty that the cars in the background, the pole and the chains are so distracting. But you came very close to a perfect shot. Keep it up... it looks like you are getting better and better.
Best regards,
Elena

Great expressions, some interesting bird motion too. A shame about that bird's tail top center and a bit busy background though. Still, a very nice shot! |

I like this and have voted it high but can't help thinking it would look better in color |

The young and the brave:) Kids reactions can be such fun...knowing that the young man would love to jump back but wanting to show his strengh at not being surprised! |

My favorite in the challenge! You have captured true surprise, rather than set up, staged surprise! The motion of the birds adds lots of interest, and the kids are really cute! In fact, they look kind of like me!
I give it a 10!

Wonderfull Photo. I really like the birds stopped in motion. And the surprise on Josh's face. Very good lighting, nice B&W. |

Great spontanious shot. I love the boys' expressions in their faces. The movement of the birds livens it all up. I think it's great that this is in b&w as it takes the viewer to the boys and not to the background that would be too much if it were in colour. Well done. |

He looks more amused than surprised by the flying birds. A nice shot overall but just misses the concept of the challenge to me. The other little boy is way to calm, maybe if they had both looked a bit more surprised or even shocked. An 8 |

I like this shot a lot. Spontanious. Just wish the noise was reduced and the contrast was a little more even. Best of luck. Still got a high mark from me. |

Great focus! What an adorable shot. The expressions are priceless.
A bit overexposed, but I still love the surprise element.
