Welcome from the critique club. A touch late but here is your request.

First with the bud and the title you met the challenge. The photo scored fairly well but could have scored better IMHO based on a few slight changes. Composition is fairly good just a touch off on the rules of thirds but not so far off that it really hurts the shot. I'd liked to have seen the focal point closer to the intersecting rules of thirds in the upper left quadrant. I would also suggest opening the lens up just a touch more. Since we are focusing on the unopened Flora and its so far off to the left, my attention is brought more to the center flower which is also in focus. Stop the lens down to 2.8 or 3.2 move your focus point on the camera off to match the rules of third fill the frame and shoot.

Post processing tips Id suggest a brightening the photo just a touch and doing a curves and saturation change to it. Colors are a bit drab and dont pop. If you want to score well you need pop and wow. I've made a few changes to your photo as an example to what I mean. Please open them and view them side by side and see what you think. Overall I dont think you did too bad, met the challenge and you have a photo thats pleasing to the eye but could have done better with a few changes. Also you will find that a smaller inner border and wider outer border helps the photo stand out, I'd swap the sizes of the 2 borders and leave the colors as they are. Good luck in future challenges.

Spring is finally in the air...so pretty and frilly and the focus is perfectly lovely, full of delicate charm.

The round bud stands out immediately. Nice!

How very lovely! This is the way pink should be done. Lovely color, composition, and DOF work very well to create a rather shy portrait of spring in bloom.

soothing in pink. So Lovely! How did it look (did you try this shot?) with the bud in center frame? (Circles theme & all that) probably lost the center of the blooms?
