Slipping to the Unknown future.

When I saw time as the theme for the speed challenge, my mind went into overdrive. how do you creatively shoot time, when I read the details, and saw the words slipping to the future, I immediately thought does time have a future, we all know it has had a past, and set about to create this theme, having an old coach clock made in France back in the 1920’s this represented the past, but the future is something we do not know, sorted through a triad of stock photo’s, found one that came off the web sometime back, and decided it would meet the unknown future, did a print of it to act as the background, placed the clock into a position that I saw as out of the past, using the camera flash shot it on the kitchen bench top.

Adjusted rotation to suit crop, set color tone in Raw. IMG 4329 CR2

I really like the idea of time "falling" or slipping into the picture - that part works very well for me in this. The background picture you chose may not be my favorite, though. I think you have some in your own portfolio that are far better than this one; "Early Mornings and Open Spaces" is the promise of a new day, so that would work. Great clock, too, by the way!

cool idea but it seems the composition is a little off.
