I'm not at all bothered by the fact that it's a candid, actually really doesn't look like one to me ... I am, however, not fond of the lighting ...

Nice smiles. :) I have 3 children, so I know what its like. The little girls ruffle on the bottom of her outfit is a little distracting, as is the blue and brown stripes against the green floral print of their outfits. Otherwise, nice job.

You might have improved the shot by not trying and in this pic by cropping a big chunk off the bottom. I think your shot begins just below the baby's chin and just above the boy's thumb.Then you'd have a portrait rather than a snapshot.

I think I'd pull down the saturation on the green a little.

Oh - and yes, I have tried - it doesn't work well. My crew are four years, two years, and three months. It's not easy. You did great.
