Oh what an expression... great title! She even appears to be lifting one brow! I love what you did with the processing - it looks so professional - the glow from the white at the bottom... For the purposes of DPCisms, yah, probably a tighter crop would have put her eyes on a thirds line (although I think the hair is interesting). Also, what I've noticed is that dpc voters will forgive almost anything if the eyes are sharp. I mean, look at 3rd place in the pop culture challenge.. editing nightmare but the dumb eyes are sharp. Possibly this child's eyes could have been dodged, saturated and sharpened and that would have gotten a higher vote. But me, I don't think this picture is too soft. And I love the natural, totally realistic skin tones and the damp curls. It befits the expression perfectly. Highly underrated shot, yes indeed.

fantastic expression she has and the focus is perfect, the crop is excellent, too. I somehow like the crop a lot, because it is not something usual, not everyday child photo, but something different, and that uneasy feeling from the crop really adds a lot to the expression. maybe I would crop even more the hair up there, just a bit more, to make the crop even tighter?

Underrated in my opinion. The softness is perfect for this shot. I think my quibble would be with the balance of it, with the face too close to one edge, though I suspect that's because you cut out her mother? Very sweet, very innocent.

Very nice shot. Quite soft. I think the extreme closeup is very nice.

Very cute expression. :) Sharper would've scored better, as I'm sure you know, but what a great candid!
