Taken at the St. Louis Zoo, This shot is almost a 100% crop of the actual image, where the gorilla is laying back agianst a log. I decided that the face was so expressive that a closer crop would be good. I'll probably upload the original image after the challenge. rotated 25 degrees CW, crop, USM, levels, color, brightness/contrast, resize, add noise, compress, submit

This is a fantastic photo but imo would look better with no grain. At the moment, the grain is too similar to the texture of the fur and I feel, adds nothing to the photo. Great composition though, especially the way he is looking over his shoulder at the camera.
