Went with friends to Natural Bridge Caverns today, and though “Gee, those look like jellyfish.”
I’ll probably get slammed for “dnmc” because the grain isn’t very obvious in the web-sized photo.
I was going for a look like you get from the cameras on the little deep-sea subs, the ones you see on National Geographic channel discovering some bizarre new critter from the deep ocean.

Convert from RAW, cropped.
Applied levels, curves, contrast / brightness multiple times.
Resize and save for web.
More contrast / brightness.

A very interesting idea. I've never thought of stalactites as looking like jellyfish, but they rather do, don't they? The composition seems a little off here - I'm wishing for one prominent "jellyfish" for my eyes to latch onto. Still a good effort.
