First let me say that I really liked this image.
Soft focus was achieved perfectly, with subjects that worked well.
Your composition was good, and lighting was also nice.
You could have cropped a little more of the lamp out to keep it from overpowering the photo. I think one or two less items in the frame might have made it more effective too.
Basically the shot fit the challenge well and that was reflected in your score and comments.
Sorry, but the photo needs to be bad for me to have more to critique :)

| Er ... didn't I comment on this already? Oh yeah - in that other challenge. I think it works better here, though the lamp is still annoying - I think perhaps it would work as a framing element better - if you shot more under the angle of the glass of it: to me it's intrusive now. The set-up works well for the challenge other than that, and it is genuinely soft focus, which is rare enough. |

| Very romantic - a good subject for soft focus - sentimental, warm. The bright whites of the paper really show off the soft focus, they glow, it gives them more meaning. The composition is a bit too busy (tiny bit!) I'd have collected the papers together more in a pile, the way the bottom one runs off the page I find a bit distracting. Still well thought out, well executed. 8 |

| Excellent use of soft focus - this challenge is just one beautiful entry after another! I love your choice of subject and the arrangement - it's greatly complimented by the challenge theme. 8 |
