Started out as a blatant attempt to take a dpc photograph - you know, squeaky clean stock stuff - but actually the graduated light across the background was far too intersting to follow that road for long.

The other thing I found interesting is the sharpening: this is USM with a radius of 100, strength of (if I remember correctly) 150 and no clipping - that's what provides the halo-ing around the glass where the liquid is darker, which allows the contrast not to be increased too far and to isolate the glass from its background a little more; so I guess this is a technical submission, rather than artistic.

Boring, i think, really - but I had fun taking and playing with it, and I'll as ever be intrigued to see what the masses make of it.

The angel of the glass is grate and the light is perfect. The noise are something that neatimage can handle :) (9)

Simple, yet the sweet rich scent of aged sherry (or port?) is almost tangible. The colour is marvelous.

This looks a bit more like coffee in the wine glass then wine to me. The head on shot here is okay but I think off center would of had more appeal. I think the grain, or background noise is a bit too much. In other words with glass I think the environment should of been pristine through out the shot. I will say that your idea is good, and you did the light well.

Its dull. Consider how the lighting could have added to the rich mood, and perhaps a different - richer backdrop. I like the angle you shot it from, its interesting.

A glass with some liquid in it. Exposure and focus are fine but it is rather boring as presented. Without the title I have no means of relating to the aroma.

Looks tasty, the backround is a little too grainy for my taste.

Nice, simple composition. A pure white background might have worked better but I like it.

Not bad. I think I might have included the bottle to give a little more context instead of depending on the title.

mmm, oh, right comment on the photo! obviously your image worked on me. I'm not sure about the grainy nature of the base/background. This shot is screaming for a high key clean presentation. 7

Nice shot. The grainyness here very much adds to the feeling of something old.
