 I know, I know...the background is cluttered. :) I was going to do something outside but it snowed and was cold and windy. :/ This was plan B. More of an environmental portrait I guess. Oh well, see how it goes. :D

I too like the background. It adds to the shot. I think a blank background would've left the viewer with questions.

If think the photo could be stronger by getting his hand and the tool in focus as well. that would get the "workshop" better across. good job bringing the light to him (so he stands out) and applying the right amount of blur to the background

Nice shot. I think I would like to have the sander in focus, but it's your shot not mine.

Great focus on the eyes. I also like the contrasting colors (blue sander, red shirt, yellow shelf).
