 1. Increased contrast by approx 10%
2. Increased brightness by approx 4%
3. USM at 2.8 approx 150%
4. Cloned one stray eyelash on right eye
5. Played with cropping and decided to keep as is
6. Using lighting effects in "render" added very wide spotlight effect to eye and middle nose
7. Created border with spackle brush
8. Resize for web

Oh yes. I like this version. Man. You got CLOSE! How cool is THAT! You can see every single little piece of his fur. Wow!

Good decision on cropping - I like it as it is, too. I'm not entirely sure about the lighting effect. I like this version but I also like the "realness" of your straight from the camera version, too. Really like the eyes on this one, though. Sweet look!

Delightful editing of a strong starting image. I might have cropped in just a bit (left and right both evenly, I think), with the idea of giving more emphasis to the eyes (but maybe you tried that and it didn't work)

Your processing stepped this image up a couple of notches. It almost looks like a studio shot with the light background, and the good light level on the deer now. This is a very friendly looking deer. I can never get this close to the ones that I photograph in the Everglades.

You really were able to pull some beautiful colors into your picture. The eyes have a very emotional quality to them. The vignette focuses my eye right to the center of the photo. Lovely shot and good editing.
