5.8! Not too shabby! I paused on this image during voting because of the brightness and the soft focus. I was attracted to both (as well the fantastic green). Gives it a sort of "Field of Dreams" feel. Cricket is not that big in the USA so I'm not sure what cricket fans are like but if they are anything like our baseball fans then I think the soft focus perfectly depicts the ethereal image of the game & the players that the true fan seems to have. Anyway, those were my thoughts during voting. 7 from me. |

I like everything about this image but the soft focus...soft focus is for pretty pictures of brides and lovely ladies or romantic moments...here it looks very out of place. The colours are great and the depth of field is perfect, but the soft focus makes this too pretty if you know what I mean...sorry :-( 7 |

not a portrait I'm afraid - but a killer sports shot! I can't wait to see green grass again - thanks for reminding me that it's sometimes that color. |

You used to have to use Fuji film to get greens that strong :-) Good pose and angle shot. |

Hey, you should have shouted to the umpire to straighten the wickets. Good anyway though. |

Ooooh. ..I LOVE IT! It's so ethereally emerald green. I like the concept of doing a color portrait like this too. Kind of an environmental portrait. |

I don't really call this as much of a portrait as a candid shot. I wish he were standing there in his uniform and knew he was getting his portrait taken. |
