Shot with a flash in manual mode as the only light source. Used a cracked wall pattern as a background. Post processing includes levels and curves adjustments, dodging and burning of arms and face and some of the background to even out the lighting. Cloned out some areas of photo. Neat image and saved for web.

Hello,
I have several problems with this photograph. Her arm is blown out, the ring on her finger instantly caught my eye & keapt drawing it back. Her hair to the left of the picture looks like a black blob, all detail in it was lost. The spot brushing left her chin sticking out like a sore thumb & her left eye 1/2 the eye is way to dark

Lights and shadows are harsh and it would work better if the eye was composed following the rule of thirds. Her hand is overexposed which is a little distracting and also her skin looks as it was over-neatimaged. Also a few artifacts of improper blurring can be realised on her face and hair (on the left size for example, the background texture totally disappears behind her hair).

I like the background, how did you do that?

I can spot all the areas where the spot healing brush is used. She has great eyes and beautiful features but the editing done to cover the blemishes actually emphasized that she has blemishes.

The smoothing here seems really uneven and throws things off for me
