| I like the contrast of the soft lighting to the crisp lighting in the foreground. The background is a bit distracting. |

Good practice with lighting. The highlights and shadows really bring out the texture of the spiral. However, the composition doesn't show enough of either one of the shells to really catch my eye. The metal base is a bit distracting. Nothing really helps me understand what it is, and why its there. I am assuming its part of the lamp behind the shell.
I like the golden glow of the low light sources on the dark background. |
