 This photo is one of my cousin's flowers. I took it around sunset and adjusted the levels of color using photoshop. This is also my first submission. I just bought a Nikon D80 and I have not figured out how to set the correct date and time for the photo information. It's an awesome camera but it takes awhile to learn how to use it. The flower in this picture is a red tulip, the picture was taken from the top angle which exposes the petal layers well.

This is nicely composed but is a bit blurry. Make sure you use the full 150kb size allowance when you save the image before uploading it - that will help prevent any loss of quality.

IMHO the lighting is harsh on the exterior of the flower and to dark inside.

I really like the dynamic color; it might have benefitted from a wider crop or usage of the rule of thirds. Spectacular photo, though!
