Good shot of the dog, I know they aren't easy! What kind of dog is this? |

Cute little fella, but the shot is just too indistinct in the shadowed areas. Loss of DOF in the nose area is a shame.
The crop is a bit awkward towards the bottom too. I would have gone portrait with this, cropped off the right side and filled the frame with pooch. |

This is so good. A creative idea and less hmm.. selfish than other here. ANd the dog even looks thankful! Very well done on this. Oh, the shot itself is good too! |

Absolutely wonderful subject for this category. Good focusing and depth of field. I am unable to vote, unfortunately. A++ |

You know, somehow I am trully grabbed by this portrait of your (?) dog.
That eye, that eye, that cute hanging ear, that nose, that curled tail, who wouldn't love a dog like that? :)
Nice composition, good whitebalance and exposure. Easy to blow out the highlights on a subject like this. Good dof, good focus on the eye. The faint tail makes it 3D instead of a flat image. First pet pic I gave a 10 (that's in about 13.000 votes). :) You just grabbed that emotion of a pup in its new loving environment. Well done!
And do I know the downside of a new pup, o man! Our last bouvier (belgian race: bouvier des flandres) used to shit in the kitchen and kick it all over the floor. The smell...........ooooooowwwwwwwwwbbbbbleeeeeeeeeeeeeeehhhhhhh. Guess who had to clean that up. :) |

Bad Points: bad composition, a crop on the dogs head would be better.
Good Points: lighting and exposure superb.
Overall Score: 4 |

Cute pooch. Love the play of shadow in his face. Could have been better vertically. |
