 My Lily - This butterfly had just emerged from its chrysalis and was not able to fly yet. One of its wings was still slightly curled.

The wing-drying process takes about a half an hour and this "Swallowtail" clung to her fingers for about 10 minutes before she let it crawl onto a leaf. Butterflies at "Butterfly World" live up to 22 days (that's about 10 days longer than in the wild) - so when this goes into voting it will still be alive. It will be near the end of its life cycle by the end of voting. And dead the week after that. A metaphor for our own brief, delicate beautiful lives.

Right then, joke's on me as I now have to plough through 564 images and bump them all (yes, all of them) up. There'll be a third run through for fine tuning. It's day two now and I'm running late, sorry.
