i find the partial face of the kid to the right slightly distracting, but i'm not too sure whether it would have been better without it (too empty or something). yes i agree with hotpasta about the cross being symbolic. |

Lesley, this si superb and should have finished higher...the cross adds so much to this image
Should have been in the top 10-20 at least
It's got a real 1930's look about it actually |

I thought this was the same little boy I marveled at in red of yours! I love it in sepia! It looks powerful and wonderful in any tone! :)

Nice Leslie, The youth, juxtaposed against the cross(death), is so poignant. |

Powerful image. Manages to have death, child labour and sadness all in one image. However, I think a different POV would have done the image more justice - maybe taken from lower down, with the camera pointing more to the right and getting rid of some of the empty space (at the moment it just looks unbalanced). |

I would love this phot with the boy on the right either all in or all out, the half a head holds this back from being a great image. Lightling is very nice and focus is great 7 |

Right then, joke's on me as I now have to plough through 564 images and bump them all (yes, all of them) up. There'll be a third run through for fine tuning. It's day two three four now and I'm running late, sorry.

Such a beautiful shot, great composition and DOF. Love the expression and curiosity on the childs face, and the cross in the back adds such a story. Also really like the sepia tone, it adds a lot to this image. Very nicely captured. |

A beautiful photo but I don't like that the child on the right was cropped. |

I would have such a big smile if this had a blue ribbon at the end of the challenge... |
