Hello Writeheart,
The framing here is well done, Nice to see the catch light in the eye a must for any closeup wildlife good job there. The background however is a killer, the white is very distracting & the tree limbs keep drawing me away. The focus seams a wee bit soft ( hand held) I assume.I also see just a bit of a hotspot on the right side of the face just above the nose to the eye. Overall though you did a great job under the conditions put in front of you. |

Great capture and composition. Think you got hurt a bit by the soft focus and very bright areas in the background (they pull the eyes away from the deer's face). A bit of burning in the back would have boosted this about 5 tenths of a point IMO. |

How cool is it that you have deer in your backyard? I like the pose you caught. The background colors have a sorta strange cast to them that I can't quite figure - sorta purple-green. But your subject is adorable and good job working with the off-center bit! |

Nice closeup. The focus seems a bit soft though. |

as one who has deer in her backyard alot i can really apreciate this picture, a very nice closeup. I think the colors in the back are a bit distracting from the picture and you can see where you sharpened it by the nose and the eyes, which distracts from the overall feel. Technical stuff sucks to get a handle on, but i really like this, keep it up! |

WOW, I found a Possum in my back yard once!! LOL. Actually for me this would be better with a looser crop, FANTASTIC model though and excellent focus, bokeh, yeah I would have expected more from this as well. |

Right then, joke's on me as I now have to plough through 564 images and bump them all (yes, all of them) up. There'll be a third run through for fine tuning. It's day two three four now and I'm running late, sorry.
