 I went with my family to the beach, these two are my treasures ;) Valentina had a great time swimming in the pool for the first time.

This should have scored much higher. There is something about DPC voters in that they tend to score down anything that look home made, if you know what I mean.

I gave you an 8 on this I thought it was lovely and still do. I am often surprized and the scores some shots get and this one totally floored me, its beautiful.

I admit I'm not very good with lighting, but it looks like the fill flash is too bright - the girl is a bit washed out and the shadow on the grass is pretty bad. It's a lovely background (if a bit tilted) and a nice snapshot for the family album.

The foreground is almost too bright, overpowers the nice background (fill flash?... maybe could have taken that down a bit)

Right then, joke's on me as I now have to plough through 564 images and bump them all (yes, all of them) up. There'll be a third run through for fine tuning.
