 Didn't do much to this shot, Ajusted the brightness and contrast a little bit. The center part of the mug really is that grainy (unglazed clay). now that I look at it the rest of the picture could use a little help, but I'm stubborn and never soecond guess myself (usually).

There sems to be a cast. Perhaps your white balance is out? I think that you have caused of DOF problem for yourself by not having the newspaper completely flat. Studio work requires a huge amount of attention to detail.

This would be better if the paper was displayed more solitary - or in better focus, macro, or the like. As it is now, I like the coffee mug, but the fold in the paper is utterly annoying.

Money as religion, yeah. The cup adds visual interest, where the paper alone would have been boring. Nice idea, nice shot.
