This is a shot at the old brick factory in Grand Ledge. It basically is just some old ruins out in the woods of what was once a small factory that made bricks. It was an interesting place to visit and photograph. In this shot, I was trying to just show some texture, and the interest in these old ruins.
In the processing, this is one of my first couple tries at the 16-32-16 tone mapping/hdr emulation technique. I thought it worked kind of well with this image. I was also going for kind of an abstract 'feel'.
In ps-auto levels, 16-32-16 technique, selective color, curves, a multiply and vivid light layer (opacity dropped), resized, smart sharpen, border, sfw.

Right then, joke's on me as I now have to plough through 564 images and bump them all (yes, all of them) up. There'll be a third run through for fine tuning. It's day two three four now and I'm running late, sorry.

| there's something a little woozy about this processing. I feel like I can't focus on it. But I like the composition, I like the foreground bricks going back into the wall. 6 |
