| composition is lacking - I'd say have the background blurred or frame the shot so that the center column is on the right third |

| I like the idea. Try a different angle next time so the water pump isn't merging into the roof line of the house. At a differnt angle you would see more of the water pump against the sky. |

| I like the softness in this photo. The mood is pleasant. I really wish the dpchallenge header bar didn't 'top' the photos. It's rather distracting. For some reason, it is particularly distracting on this photo. When the bar is hidden from view, the balance in this picture stands out. |

| Having the rain gutter slice through the pump was a bad choice IMO. It would have looked better to shift to the right a bit and get it against the sky. |

| I think that if the water pump is the subject, it should be lit better. The lighting on the house features take your attention. |

Right then, joke's on me as I now have to plough through 564 images and bump them all (yes, all of them) up. There'll be a third run through for fine tuning. It's day two now and I'm running late, sorry.
The pump looks a little too clean and restored, which doesn't matter photographically. What matters more is that the rest of the picture does nothing. 5 |

| This might be a nice subject for a photo, but you would do well to isolate it from the background a little. The intersecting lines from the house seem to interfere with the subject here. |
