Hopefully I'm doing this right :) By definition, I'm shooting 'against the light' and my subject is backlit. The only source of light in this photo is the window on the door. I like the contrast, and I choose not to make her a complete silhouette.

Also, i had a tough time choosing between the color and b&w edit. I went with the color. Hopefully I chose... wisely :)

Tech: crop, curves, brightness/contrast, desaturation, unsharp mask.

I agree with Lanterman. It does have a magaziney feel to it. I like the way you did it and I like the perspective.

The exposure and saturation of this photograph, not to mention the subject matter, is very stylish. It has a magazine editorial feel - like Terry Richardson from vice, or The Fader or something like that. I'm not sure if that's what your intent was, but many people on here won't get that. They only give high marks to photos of the aurora borealis that were taken in Iceland or cheesy, over sharpened, overly set-up photos.

Oh man, I am sorry you got hammered like that in your first challenge. I agree with some of the comments that the photographic quality of the photo is not that high, but it certainly doesn't deserve the low score.
Some voters will just vote 1 on any photo that contains nudity regardless of anything else. Don't be discouraged by those kind of close-minded people, I wish you luck in your future challenges.

Don't listen to the crackpots. There is nothing more beautiful than the human body. Children like Dseale should look a little deaper and look at the photo, the light, the perspective and what is wrong with those breasts? There are some technical issues, but keep trying.

I have never seen nipples that large in my life.
That is NOT a good thing.
Blurgh.
Please never try to do this again.
Spare my fourteen year old eyes.
Please.

I love all the 1's given, because boobs are just SO gross! Give me a break....

ummmmm Was this just to put some boobs on the internet?

The harsh contrast doesn't contribute to this shot, the skin is blown out and fades into the background.

it is a bit noisy.. try to use noise reduction software.

I̢۪m just not feeling that this is within the Contre-jour technique. Nice shot just not what I think when I̢۪m looking for Contre-jour. Also breast are not always an automatic high score thing!

Thanks for sharing :-D I know it's probably getting hammered by the voters and you are likely getting a LOT of comments (mostly bad) but I really like the voyeuristic styling of this photo.

Oh my. Not sure about the photographic merit of it, but those are certainly impressive nipples.

too much glare on the breasts, background is distracting.

very different and very nice idea!

Though a fascinating view, I assure you, the quality of the shot isn't at its best, and the context to the challenge is barely visible. 6
