I skipped class so I thought I might as well get a shot. Made a mini studio and used soft window light. Adjusted the contrast with curves and used the channel mixer to convert to b/w.

I love portraits done with the dramatic partial lighting of the face. I'm with the others in that I think some eye contact may have made this even better. But I'm really impressed with the moodiness and the drama of the lighting you chose.

Very nice. I like the barely visible eye and the barely visible highlights int he hair. Offers up just enough detail and really sets the mood.

nice lighting. makes me wish i could see the eyes a bit better, but i like that feeling of wanting more more than i'd actually like to see more of the eyes

I agree with Erin with the mixed emotions, but I think I would like to see more light on the eyes. Very nice.

Wow! This is great Mario...dark, brooding, mysterious. I'm torn between wanting just a hint more light in your eyes and loving it just the way that it is. Hmmm...I think I love it just the way it is. :)

This is a good portrait. I love the lighting and the small dot of light caught in each eye.
