Some of these comments are ridiculous: he doesn't look dirty enough? Laughable.
This photo has alot of potential, just isn't there yet.
Also wondering after reading so many complaints about shots looking staged, is there anything wrong with staging a shot? If it werent' for staged shots we'd be missing out on alot of brilliant photography. THere is nothing in DPC rules about staging shots therefore it shouldn't be an issue when judgment time rolls around.

Thank you for your comments, sadly inough it WAS a walk-by shot and not a pose. |

Sadly there are too many of them out there. This looks like a set up shot but at the same time a walk by shot. The fish eye effect is a bit much and the homeless person looks too clean and the clothes look too new it's hard to say. The focus is lacking a bit and while the black and white works well with this shot but the brightness and contrast is just a bit wanting. A 4 to start, going to a 7 |

C'mon- this guy works in the parking lot next door. But seriously- the shot needs contrast.and sharpness/focus. I like the theme though. |

Good job. Use the homeless for your own personal gain. |

This picture has very strong elements that tell a story, and the use of B&W works very well here. However, the subject in front appears quite soft - personally I would have preferred to see it sharper. Also I feel there isn't enough contrast on the subject - perhaps the sky is the culprit in this case but it's nothing that a graduated neutral density filter can't handle. |

Good idea but out of focus to my eye. |

i'm guessing this wasn't someone you knew just posing for you. if it was, a brick wall might have been a better backdrop. even so, i think the distortion of the (fish-eye?) lens works well. the shiny car kinda detracts from it, but the black and white adds back again. 6. |
