Maybe a lame idea, but not "shoehorned". The phrase "money is power" came to mind, and I thought of portraying the power side of that. Could also tie in with a money/oil/power connection. Maybe this is all too abstract and weak a connection? Oh well, at least it won't be Monopoly money, cars, jewelry, etc...
Took the picture near sunset, with an exposure compensation of -2/3. Ran through Neat Image (sky noise is really giving me fits lately), then adjusted curves, boosted saturation a bit, tweaked the colors with selective colors, then sharpened, resized, and ran a second pass through Neat Image (selective colors and sharpening re-introduces that sky noise - don't know if I'm doing something wrong, or it's normal).
I was attempting to use the sun set plus color tweaks to give it a golden hue (another "money" tie in) - but with my color blindness, I'm not sure I got it right. We'll see... |

| nice evening light. Feels a bit cut short on the bottom. Perhaps a bit more context would add to the meaning? The subject, while imposing, feels static and useless. |

| Yes, and with the energy bill the Senate recently rejected, power is money - lots of it in tax breaks and incentives. I like the golden cast on this photo, and you caught a great sky. |

| Yes, it is power. I think your example here is weak. It's not screaming power!! The building/plant appear small, not a giant company with mega bucks. :) The quality of the shot is very good. The focus, light, color....beautifully shot. Good luck in the challenge. |
