The piggy bank was supposed to be Melissa's idea but she never had time to get it right so she said I could steal the idea. She was going to do just the piggy bank, I decided to add the reason for the piggy bank.

This is Ellie's piggy bank and that is her dream, to own her own horse some day. I did different backdrops, different pictures but this one just gelled as they say.

I used a clip light, regular focus setting, -1.0 lighting. Afterwards, cropped just a tad, sharpened a bit, removed the noise and added a border.

Technical: Fits the challenge, slightly different take on a very common theme. Exposure composition focus lighting all pretty good, though the reflections on the bank are a bit distracting.

Personal: Not a real wow image.

Would like it a little lighter so the horses would show better. I gather they are the dream.

I have an issue with using someone else's picture for your picture.

nice exposure on the bank, very little blowout at all. The horse shot and its inclusion in the picture bothers me from a challenge point of view: but I'll take for granted that the shot is yours and, if it is, it is a fine shot as well. Don't know that you needed to necessarily show the dream...the bank it self would have been just fine for me....the BG is superfluous IMHO.

Great idea and really expresses money, or a need for money, to me.

very original approach for this challenge, piggy bank well presented except for light streak down through eye and onto snout

This is a very nice composition for this challenge. You have a goal and a plan all laid out in one image. The plan might not be the best one, but it\'s there and easy to understand. From a technical standpoint, the bank appears to be under exposed. Also I would rather the sharpness be with the bank and the softness be on the image of the 'dream'. Nice shot that with a little more work could be an awesome one!
Kudos,
TC

Love the shot overall, but find the sticker drew my attention away from the rest of the image. Nice work though.

I like this idea a lot, but i'm not wild about pictures of pictures (ie, the horses). It seems to be using someone elses work when the picture is a major part of the overall image. I'm guessing real horses were not available (hence the title), so I'm not really sure how I would change this. -6-
