too dark but i tried something with this shot in PS and it came out neat. try adjust curves first, targetting the pole on the left. then turn the picture b/w. finally adjust brightness/contrast to raise up brightness and contrast till just right. then burn the background and edges black and dodge the poles white and try take a look!! the shot looks really, really kewl. i dont know if its against rule to do this so .....

Greetings from critique club

Hi, sorry for your result in the challenge but is really difficult see something in this image.
The image is too much dark and there are too few details. This the only critique that i can write. I think that you wish show a bridge on the sea (is this the truth?) not a bad idea.
If the photograph information are true I think that you can obtain better result with a tripode and a higher exposure time.
Iso 1600 are too much high and you will have too noise in the image.

Best Regards
Gennaro

P.S. for any question send me a private message

Too abstract. There is really no central focus or idea. Visually unappealing.

Reminds me of my shot:

I love the understated elegance here... nice repeating pattern of figures that the viewer isn't quite sure of what they are.... Sheesh, this picture's so awesome it's left me tongue tied ;-D

Looks like the composition may be good, but it's too dark on my monitor to tell. I think a little longer exposure would have been better.

Your photo is very compelling. Based on my experiences here at DPC - I'm not sure others will go for it. I'm wondering why you made it soooo dark? There are some lovely old barren trees in the background and the 55 gallon drums along with the wooden planking would have made such a more interesting photo for the voters to look at. I'll give some extra points for boldness and go with an 8.

Just foolin' around - your 'reworked' photo -

What is this? It is so dark that I can't even see what it is. Did you mean it to be this way or is your monitor off?

From the very dim posts, I can see that this composition had potential. However, it is WAY too dark. Next time, try doing a much longer exposure.
