 Woman on a fold up bicycle near the Torensluis in Amsterdam.
These bikes are used for two reasons:
1) You can take them on the train for free
2) Many houses are so small that there is no room to park inside and these can be stored more easy. Parking your bicycle outside in Amsterdam means you have to buy several during the year as they will be stolen a couple of times.

Shot at 70mm. I really hate it that I did not get the rear wheel in the frame, but from all the bicycle pics I took that day (100+) I think this one is the best. The light was so horribly harsh during most of the day. :(

Edits:
Capture NX
- Color Mode to II = Adobe RGB
- Tone Compensation to High Contrast

PS CS2
- cropped to a square (cut off the sides, top and bottom are original)
- Shadow and Highlight (mainly to create better contrast)
- Turned to b&w by throwing away the a&b channels in Lab mode
- Tritoned with greybrown Pantone colors and custom curves for each color used
- Contrast changes with USM
- Custom Curves with about 10 points and a really wiggly curve
- mild USM

Shot from the terrace? ;-) Nice and sharp picture, good use of sepia tones, too bad the rear wheel is cut off. Well done.

I like the dof used here, however this picture would be even better if there was a little more contrast to the image.

Good shot but I think it could use a little more punch. It isn't light enough to be "high key".

Very nice photo. To improve it would be better if the left wheel was completly in the picture ; a 7 from me. Good Luck, I think you'll do well!

I find this photo very interesting, there seems to be a subtle dichotomy going on. Everthing about this photo is so very classic, this could easily of been taken a few decades ago. But then there is her bike with the tell-tale signs of modern day. I really do like the classic feel of this and it's a very good photo. Well done!

I'm guessing by the coble that this probably somewhere in Europe!?!

This is nice, I like the shape of the bicycle and the foreground, maybe if I could see the whole back wheel it would have been better
