"Great....I need a night shot....I want to do the Philly skyline from the other side."

Unfortunately the best part of the South Street Bridge over the Schuylkill (sic) River is falling apart and the bridge is blocked off on that side. So taking a bit of the a chance with a very high traffic area (cars from West Philly into Center City and vice versa and off the expressway to West Philly or Center City or to Grays Ferry and from Grays Ferry to anywhere else) I got on the remaining open corner on the Northwest Side of the bridge and shot away.

Next morning I had a rehearsal at church for Easter Sunday and the Choir Director said, "Was that you on the South Street Bridge taking pictures last night". Oy! The rehearsal went well and the my "The Trumpet Shall Sound" (Handel, Messiah) solo was the best ever...well the choir director said afterwards on Sunday.

Wish I could say the same for this image. But if you could just sort of see your way around not looking at the GIANT SMUDGE SPOT in the sky left of center above Commerce Square Building...it will do just fine, thank you. Not a dust spot so I left it alone.

Post: Convert from raw in PSElements 3.0 with a +0.67 exposure compensation. Crop. Curves adjustment. NeatImage. Sharpen. Resize. Sharpen.

My attention is drawn tothat center streetlight too much. Too bad, it's otherwise a great shot. Good clarity for a time exposed shot.

The hot street light in the center of the picture detracts from the picture. Not much you can do about it, though...
