 This image was originally a photo of a glass block with a bubble pattern. A selection was made of one of the bubbles and water inserted using a flood filter and then modifying it with the liquifying filter. Color was changed using saturation and hue and unsharp mask was then applied.

Greetings from the Critique Club -

My critique will probably be a bit short here. You defintely took advantage of the expert editing ruleset. But in doing that you took whatever was your base image was and turned it into something way beyond photography. Where others used the ruleset to create an image that still felt like it had some photographic merit you took yours and went full blown digital abstract art. And with that came a wide voting curve. Me personally - not my cup of tea. The water pouring from the one spot is kind of cool, but the overall abstractness of it didnt leave a pleasant impression for me. Can't really comment on technical stuff - focus, sharpness, noise, etc. And I can't really tell you what I think you could do to improve your score. This is a piece of art, and if it's what you wanted then it is what it is.

Although this is visually engaging, it deviates too much from the look and feel of a photograph in my opinion. This is a photography competition.
