a strange shot...soft and beautiful at first, then the background blur becomes part of the past, and there I am facing the skull..a warning perhaps, do not enter...and your title, well it sounds like your were mighty high, and feeling lost and emotionally threatened...
I love exploring your world...

First thing I notice: I love the processing. I also really like all of the lines. Nice title too. The background reminds of Impressionism and that is a very good thing. The colors are warm, which is quite opposite of the death theme shown. But now, the more I look at it, it seems like the colors are halfway between warm and cold. But overall, I don't get the feeling of "death." Lovely! Hope my babble made sense. :) |

the beauty of a shot like this is in its flatness. the background shapes up top don't really look like they're in the background. They are just more shapes on the flat canvas. The unreal or at least unexpected positioning of the deer skull further serves to undermine the 3-dimensionality. The posts and barbed wire create very strong crossing lines, making for a good composition. And in a "flat" picture like this, composition is everything (it's always everything). Nice to see you on the RC thread. You were one of the very first "artists" I found at DPC.

Quite intriguing. Does indeed have a spooky look, but I am quite taken with it. Your processing makes this shot. |

Death and who hung this on the fence? Looks like a sign/warning, either to some poor buck or a trespasser. I like the bokeh little circly thingys. The textures in the photo are nice and I assume you may have added a texture layer during processing. Not necessarily my type but it was pulled off with class. |

my first reaction is: hmmm, pretty cool. Might be cooler in high contrast black and white. My second thought is: Hmm. This is Sher's - how can I every find anything not to like? My third though it: Yeah, but I still find the color distracting. |
