Shot in the dark with a ten second exposure. Painted with light to give it depth. Cleaned it up in PS and added different hues for interest. Added a little noise for fun.

Greetings from the Critique Club!

This image falls in the category of "creative" photography, where the photographers creative input both before and after (and in this case, during) exposure provide an image onto which viewers can project their own imaginations. I think it works very well.

Your creative choices are mostly right on target. The painted lighting is soft yet gives the depth you intended. Using a vertical format and setting it on a bed add interest. The soft focus and added noise help trigger the imagination. The composition is nice, but I think a little crowded at top and bottom. The mask is controversial, but I like it. The colors are great.

The technical aspects are least important to me, but there are some problems in this area I'll point out (all minor). The wrinkles in the sheet by the model's arm are a bit distracting. The white parts of the mask are burned out and the bottom left of the guitar is a bit too light. The rightmost two strings on the guitar are mostly invisible. The shadow behind the model's back is a bit dark and doesn't seem to match her body.

The likeness of the guitar shape to that of a woman's body is a great one. Love the soft focus. Good stuff!

Very nice idea-- I would have like it better without the mask, it draws my attention, where the flow of the lines should stand out, still a really nice shot-- 9

Nicely done. Like the lighting and noise effect. The way the woman reflects the shape of the guitar is a lovely touch.

Nice repetition of the curved shape. Covering the nude with the guitar and mask makes it more an abstract shape than a body. It works well. The lightness on the left side is a bit distracting; I wish the shadow went past the edge of the frame..

Very nice the way the curves of the guitar mimic that of the model. I also like the desaturation and slight grain. Hope you don't get scored down because of having some skin in your photo. Starting at 8

Great idea, but it could be simpler and more focused with a tight crop on part of the guitar's curve and model's waist curve. The mask is a distraction.

grigrigirl?? tones are nice. good use of curves and form with the guitar and your subject. using the mask, removing the eyes makes things less about the girl. i like that. 9

An interesting commentary on the relationship between shapes, but I'm not sure I buy it. Still, an interesting photo - I'd have liked to see more detail in the wood grain on the guitar.

Love the blend of the curves of the guitar and of the beautiful model. Don't like the mask though, sorry .... there originally or added after? The angle is wrong for the head. I do love the shot, but it looks a little too photoshopped for me, although maybe it hasn't been (would love to know).

Like the idea but the mask doesn't quite work - maybe a hat over the eyes would have been more effective?
